where can i order a replacement window for my car???
I have a 1999 pontiac sunfire se 2 door and i accidently busted out the quarter window thing. Its not an actual window, it doesnt roll down or anything, but its more or less just a piece of glass, but im just wondering where i can order a new one? any ideas??? or how much would it cost me to just get a shop to get it fixed?

- Best place to get a replacement very cheaply would be to go to a car scrapyard/junkyard and look for another '99 Sunfire. You'll need a flatblade screwdriver to get it out, and I think you can take the rubber surround out as well if yours is damaged.
Good luck
- Go to your nearest Pontiac dealer or try buying it on www.ebay.com.
- $20+postage for the glass

- If you are in Maryland or near Maryland, call Brandywine Auto Parts. 1-800-638-3446 and ask for EXT 520. The glass will cost $75.00 and the labor to install it will be $ 50.00.
- That quarter glass is what is called "encapsulated". That means that the molding is manufactured as part of the glass and it cannot be removed from the glass. Some salvage yards are not aware of this and they will just cut the molding off to get the glass out. Be careful of that if you go to a salvage yard. As far as getting a new glass, they are fairly expensive, but many encapsulated glasses are cheaper from the GM dealer than they are from an auto glass shop. The glass is held in the car with urethane sealant. It is an extremely strong sealant that is specifically made for auto glass and it usually requires special primer for corrosion resistance. Be sure and DO NOT use any silicone sealant.
