Question about a replacement window?

We're trying to replace the slider window in the bedroom. We went to home depot to buy a replacement one, and they didn't have the exact size, so we got one slightly smaller. Will this work? What modifications will be needed to make this work?? Thanks for your help. I will probably be asking question regarding this all day long. Here's to your patience and help!! Thanks alot!

  1. A smaller windows mean you will have to do something with the siding outside the house along with the surroundings of the window as per the trim....ect..your best bet would of been to go to a replacement window factory. They are not that much more an they are made to the size you need.

  2. You could have ordered the exact size you need. usually a two week wait. If you try to put a smaller window in you will have to put spacers at the top and both sides to make up the difference. Also, your interior trim may not match.I would return the window you have and order the correct size. It makes it much easier, especially if you are new at this.
