My passenger side back vent window was broke and I cant find a replacement? Where can I find a window at?

I have a 93 Buick Roadmaster and recently my car was broken into. The back vent window (the one that doesnt roll down on the back door) was broken out and I havent found a replacement yet. I have looked on ebay, called junk yards in my area, went to a used window shop, just about everything I kno to do. Since the car has been labled a "Classic", parts are sometimes hard to come by. Can some on help me out. Any web sites or places near Tampa, FL that I can maybe get it from. Anywhere but the dealership where it is $200!!! Its not that important right now. Please help me out. If you know some one that knows someone, you know. Thanx Not a classic. My bad. A collectors edition

  1. dont know anyone in your area but youcould check with places like glassmasters and/or find a junkyard/upullem parts place that are networked across the states to find the glass

    good luck

  2. A 93 is not a classic. A classic is 25 years or older. Open the phonebook and call evey place you are willing to drive to.

  3. Go on line at www.LKQ.com they can help really cheap.

  4. Go to the dealership, those smaller windows are just as exspesive as the other windows so i dont think you would find much of a better price, other than putting carboad or something in it,you'll be surprised how much cold air gets through that window.

  5. Sorry to say, but $200 is not that bad of a price. I know it sounds harsh, but most of the time you will find smaller pieces of glass cost more than larger ones..Don't know why but they do. If you can't find one at a junk yard, then more than likely the dealer will be your only other shot. I'm pretty sure there are no aftermarket companies that make those small vent windows. So if you call a local glass installer, they will just call the dealer, order it, mark up the price, and sell it to you. I say your best bet is to buy it from the dealer, then go to a glass installer, and have it installed. Don't have the body shop at the dealer do it, because most body shops don't install their own glass, they have an installer do it. So, they would just be marking up the install price on you.
