cadillac window regulator replacement?

I have a Cadillac DTS 2004 and my window regulator keeps going out. I have read were the window regulators for all 2000 to 2005 Cadillac have problems but all of them also said that after they replaced it that was it. But I myself have replaced two of my window twice already. I have even order my regulator part from GM and it still goes out. My question is there a certain window regulator need and why is it happing back to back?

1. 1. The regulator is in a bind when it was installed.

   2. If you lean on the window while driving this can damage the regulator as well as the window motor.

   3. Lastly if they have made a change then you are not getting the newer version.
