Harddrive errors!?

I've just completed a home desktop and am trying to install Windows XP pro. The install starts and runs like normal till the starting windows part. then theres a blue screen and the fallowing message: windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer Technical Info: stop:0x0000007E,0xF0000005,0xF79C2208,0xF79c1F08 pci.sys address F75760BF base at F756F000 date stamp 3b7d855c I have changed out harddrives and the system works fine with WD hard drives from other computers, and WD has sent me a replacement harddrive (on wich I get the same error) Any ideas other get an old prest and a young prest?? Should have noted: used windows disk manager (on a nother system) to install a NTSF partision anf format disk.

  1. Try using fdisk when turning on the computer. After clicking use cd with support, and you get the dos screen type in fdisk. If you don't know what or how partitioning is or works than just put 100% on you c drive.

  2. Check into this possible fix.
