Movie Maker Replacement?
For reasons too tedious to mention, Windows Media Player keeps refusing to load and/or giving me the blue screen of death every time I try to open a file. Can anyone direct me to similar style freeware? I don't want anything fancy -just something with the basics that will get the job done without crashing. EDIT: Also, please note I am looking for a MOVIE MAKER, not a media player. Sorry to shout, but I already have VLC, and that's not my problem.

- Try updating your drivers and Windows Movie Maker. It may also help to clear out your startup with msconfig.
- VLC media player will play almost all formats, is freeware and very highly rated or try good old WINAMP. visit: http://www.freewarefiles.com. good luck!!
