Anyone know something about window replacement?

i have a broken window and i want to know where i can get the glass from. Can i just goto homedepot? do they have it there? Any idea on what it cost? i got the measurements, 18.5in length, 1in1 width, and .2cm thick. I dont need instructions on how to replace it, just where to get the glass. thanks

1. look in the phone book for 'windows', or 'glass replacement', anything having to do with windows...(not expensive)...just bring them the measurements !!


2. Yes, you can get it at Home Depot


3. If its an old window, just get the glass at a hardware or building supply store. They will cut to your dimensions. If its a new double glazed window, you have to get a new insulated unit built to the correct dimensions and its a pain to get the old one out and the new one in.


4. Look in the yellow pages under Glass. They can replace the glass for you. For a standard double glazed 36" window (Bottom or top pane) double glazed costs about $75.00
