Can a failed window seal be fixed? The glass is fogged between the panes.?

If so, how do I find someone who can do this? They are old, double-hung wood windows. Also, how do I find replacement screens? In the United States. They are no longer in warranty. The manufacturer was bought out by another company a long time ago, so they don't really exist anymore.

  1. got to a reputable glazing firm. Try the yellow pages. Must be fensa registered the trade body.

  2. Most windows come with some kind of warranty.

  3. Yes, I recently had one repaired and went through a glass company, i.e Settles Glass. It is not cheap but better than a whole new window. On the screens, I don;t know. If they are a name brand, i.e., Anderson, I would check their website. Good Luck.

  4. sorry to tell ya but no it can't they vacume out all the air and refill it with argon gas to prevent it from fogging up . i would suggest measure your window and write down the manufacturer name and go to lowe's or home depot and see if they can help. you may also call a local glass replacment company to see if the can help .>>>
