How do you replace a basement window?

I want to replace a metal framed basement window that is through the concrete foundation with a vinyl replacement window. Removing the metal frame seems easier said than done. Is the metal frame suposed to be removed? If so, how?

2. Yanz answer or site he sent u to is great if it is wood. But the system is the same. Cut out the metal frame using a metal reciprocal blade saw and then proceed with the same site info.

   Install a pressure treated framed window or vinyl which will not rot or rust.
