2. I go threw this all the time. I don't know if the high end windows are worth the money. I go with mid range priced windows, and I have had no problems yet. If you have the money spend it any way you wish. I think some times you are just paying for a name.


3. the best are not in a name but how there made. welded corners on sash and frame. glass sealed in frame not with a marine gasket. glass should be 1/8" thick no thinner. low-e glass is better than clear. and a good warranty. a lot of window companies will have sales also i.e. free low-e for a month. if the windows meet those main criteria you'll be in good shape
