Which material is better for window replacement - Vinyl or Fiberglass?

We are replacing original aluminum windows. Got a good price on Vinyl. Somebody suggested another company - who uses Fiberglass. Is that a lot more expensive, and is it worth the difference in price - or just a matter of appearance?

1. I would pick Vinyl. Fiberglass will not last as long and the outer protective layer can be broken or torn.
