Replacement Window for 1983 Mustang Convertible GLX?

Does anyone know if I can put plastic, like convertible mercedes' use, in the soft top where the back glass once was? If so where can it be purchased? Or where can I buy a replacement back glass. Thanks in advanced.

   contact one of these places they should be able to steer you in the right direction



2. wow im assuming your top is in good shap. call your local glass guy they should come to you and fix it on the spot for less than $100 if they have the glass in stock. buing used glass is ok if they have it it should save you a couple dollars.


3. Yes, you can replace the back glass with a plastic window. Glass is an upgrade, and the plastic window should zip in on top, then mount on the bottom.


4. I would consider using the same kind of plastic that people use to winterize their houses as a short term fix. When you get the money just replace it with glass.
