Is there a guide to retrofit window replacement ? Low end to high end. Best for money?

Looking for a guide to retrofit windows. Don't know which windows to stay away from and which ones are considered good. Need LowE, looking for best type for best price.

1. Pella windows(somewhat pricey) are the best and have used them. One time I could not use them because they did not have the vinyl and I had to have vinyl windows so I went to Lowe's(NOT Home Depot) and got their finest windows. forgot the brand but ask their specialists there. I have heard that the Home Depot brands are not the greatest.. heard that from several individuals
