Where should we go for replacement windows in Madison, Wi?

We are looking to replace our wood double hung windows. We would like to go with vinyl this time because the wood is rotting. Our house is about 14 years old. What is the best window for our money. Is there a company you would recommend? We have had an estimate from Champion and Thebco. About a $4000 price difference.
