  1. I think to get the right kind of windows for a mobile home you need to see a mobile home dealer or supply place. Standard replacement windows (which Lowe's carry) dont fit in the walls.

  2. yeah

  3. I would deal with someone who specifically deals with windows. Not people from there.Good luck.

  4. I am sorry to say WE do not install windows for mobile homes. Billy Lowe v.p. Marketing, Lowes Brothers Stores. They only market in Home Building. Tried getting part for my mobile home and they said they do not deal in this market. Maybe we should open up a franchise for Mobile Homes. WE can call it "The Mobile Home Depot"

  5. no, you will have to either deal with a mobile home repair company or an independent contractor. the walls in a mobile home are not as thick, you will need windows that are made for this type of home

  6. Lowes does`nt install windows.(per sa) They hire contractors and under pay them. Chances are if you go to lowes and ask them for a list of contractors, you could find one to do the install.

Dont let anyone tell you it can`t be done, I`ve done several.

  7. Only true way to know is to call and ask. Mobile home windows usually arent the same size as 'house' windows- as in the mobile home window frame would need to be opened more or closed more, in order to fit. Going to a mobile home dealer or parts place would be the best way to go- for an exact size replacement. Another tip: while replacing the windows, go for a 'low e' replacement or high efficency glass- will cost a bit more , but worth it for energy savings in the long run- they consist of 2 panes of glass with an insulating gas sealed inbetween them. I would also suggest a type of 'double hung'- for the ability of cleaning them from the inside - either vynal clad or aluminum covering is best for 'maintenece free'.
