Anderson, Marvin, Milgard or other.. which are the best replacement windows and why?

1. anderson & milgard have lifetime warrantys on there installation &product i dont know about marvin


2. i'm building a new house and used milgard for 22 windows. would highly recommend them, very durable and well-built product


3. All you mentioned as with many more are quality windows. The Glass warranty typically remains the same with any manufacture.20 years, after 10 years its prorated.

   What you need to be in concern with is what manufacture can fit your existing rough opening.

   If you down size;

   You may be in need of a dry wall etc interior filler. Perhaps larger interior casing. Additional cladding needed exterior. For different brands carry different unit dimensions.

   If you up size;

   You may take away from the integrity of the framing. cutting the header, removal or down size of existing jack studs.

   Be in more concern of purchasing a maintenance free window (clad) to meet your existing rough openings.
