1. You get what you pay for and Lowes / Home Depot is a long way from the best, especially when it comes to window installation.

   Having said that --

   They are all double pane (or they should be). Go with low-e, it will pay for itself in just a few years.

   Grilles/grid, clear, clear obscure. Go with what you think looks best. They have almost no impact on how the window functions.



2. Get a free estimate from a double glazing company and theywill advise you better.
