I have a vinyl replacement window that I can't get to close completely, what can I do?

On the side of the window there is a spiral metal rod and an u-shaped plastic piece with a metal piece inside

1. I have a builder in my family & know that you need to find out the manufacturer,can do this by the brand.(go back to where U bought it if you didn't save your paper work).If was installed correctly,should be a warranty on the window. If you know the brand, go online and find the website. I go to ask.com & ehow.com when I need answers fast to problems around the house.


2. Check the locking mechanism on the window. It might not be closing properly if the lock was accidentially engaged with the window open. If that doesn't work, contact the manufacturer or installer.
