I have brick house/ I installed new aluminum double glass (no argon) double pane windows, since my wooden single glass windows were getting humidity and water condensation in the winter time. Heat was set at 69 deg and was very warm in the house. Somehow moisture of the air is 20 % higher then my neighbors wooden frame house. I have no insulation in walls since it is only 3/4" spacing between brick and interio walls, made of plaster on top of wooden lattice. There is no insulation behind wooden molding on inside, as far as I know. New windows were only inserted as replacement and capped outside. ther is no moisture beteen panes, only on the glass from inside the house. Futher I installed bathroom fan as well as roofing fan. I did find out that there are no sofit holes but a solid wood, so there are no sofit holes. I do have air vents on the roof. I have a gas furnace. IF you have solution please explain so that I may understand. Can I spray foam in the basement at 3/4" spacing?
