Help! Replacement Harddrive needed, I dropped my laptop!?

I dropped my laptop last night while it was on, it froze, so I restarted it, when I started it up, it went to the windows recovery screen. I have ran the recommended repair/recovery several times, but it still wont run. It keeps coming back with an error about removable devices?? I have already posted this and a few people suggested its the hard drive. Where would I get a new one and how much would it be roughly? My laptop is a Sony Vaio VGN series??

  1. It depends on where your from, USA or Europe?

It will cost you around €50, £40, $70

    overclocker.co.uk have them

take the harddrive out of the laptop and get the serial no. make etc

You have not given the full model of your laptop, if you look it up in sony vaio support you can check if you need a IDE or SATA harddrive

  2. you would need a 2.5inch internal drive. most computer type places should have them, such as PC World in the UK has them

  3. It would help thing if you updated your question with the actual error message and what it is telling you.
