- You are correct.
Passenger side is to the "right" of the driver's seat.
- i would call a local dealership and speak to the parts person. he would be able to tell you the exact part number you need to buy.
- To figure which side you need on a car, is to ALWAYS determined from sitting in the drivers seat always and forever.
- For American cars, the passenger side is on the right, as from the point of view of being seated inside the car, facing the front (ie, from the driver's seat). The passenger sits to the right of the driver.
For cars in Britain and Japan, because the standard in the UK, and some other former British colonies is to drive on the left side of the road, the passenger sits on the left side, and the driver (along with all the driving controls) is on the right.
According to this page, while Americans generally have always driven on the right side, early American cars had the driver's side on the right - until Ford switched it around to the left.

- You have assumed correctly. You would need the right side window. The sides of the car are are called out as we are sitting in the operating position.
