I have a question about window replacement please answer?

I purchased my house almost a year ago and some of the windows were changed and some were not. There are 6 windows that need to be changed. I was wondering how much would it cost to change these 6 windows with 1 one of them being a bay window(large living room window). Just estimates based on your experience or if you are in the window business. thanks in advance.

  1. It's difficult to give an exact estimate because of all the different brands, the different options, and the installation costs. Here are some rough numbers per window, though:

    Low-end: $200-$400

    Mid-range: $500-$750

    High-end: $800-$1000+

Any reputable window company will be happy to come to your home and give you a free estimate.

Also, for the next two years you can get an income tax credit worth up to $1,500 for purchasing and installing qualifying replacement windows. This can help offset cost of the project. The extremely low-end $200 windows won't qualify without some significant ugprades.

Here's a great article that explains everything you need to know:

Homeowners ask me a lot about what to look for and how to tell if you're getting a good deal on the price. I finally made an ebook to help folks out when they're shopping for replacement windows. It's totally free and in PDF form.
