I have gotten a quote from Home depot for 10 windows at $5,250. Just curious to know if there are better options out there. FELDCO is out here. Dont know if they are any better.
Feldco is a vinyl window. There are differing opinions on those, as vinyl by itself isn’t the strongest material. But Feldco is sold by exclusive dealers who do professional installation and guarantee, and that’s always a plus. Ask for multiple references for their installers so you get a good idea of the jobs they do. You can also check out the BBB to see if any complaints have been filed.

Another thing to remember is that you stand to get a $1,500 tax credit for the federal government for replacing your windows—if you get windows with a U-Factor and a SHGC of .30 or less (both numbers have to be .30 or less). You can see this on the NFRC sticker that is on every window.
For my money I would go with Renewal by Andersen windows. Renewal puts a lot of focus on installation and customer service. You get a great window that’s energy-efficient and looks good, plus you can find windows that will qualify you for the tax credit. The Chicago area dealer has two locations, one in Glenview and one in Lombard.
