Mold on ceilings of 2 bedrooms in a bungalow.?

Basically for the past 2 years the two bedrooms at the end of the house (both have 2 outside walls) have been getting mold on the ceilings (particularly in the corners of the 2 outside walls). Also where there is no circulation of air mold has been forming (under beds/in wardrobes). Now there are 2 theories for this and I wondered if either are to blame? #1 The windows are wood and are pretty poor and in need of replacement. All rooms have these windows but only 2 bedrooms are affected. #2 Sometime ago an extracor fan was fitted in the bathroom to go in to the loft, but not to go outside, could the damp air in the loft be coming back down into the 2 coldest rooms? Please help because I am getting annoyed at my clothes and shoes smelling like mold! Thanks

  1. Other than the obvious leaking roof, if your attic is not insulated properly then yes the exhaust fan from the bathroom could be causing the mold issue. Vent your pipe to the outside and put insulation around the piping that is in the attic to prevent condensation and water coming back into the bath.Use a solution of bleach to kill the mold and keep the room ventilated.
