Replacement Window for a Plymouth Voyager?

Hi: I have a Voyager with a broken rear side window ( the kind that pops out). I'm really kinda broke, and have almost no mechanical skills. I have called around, and they are charging more than I can afford to fix this, even with a used window. But I recall seeing some cars that have replaced their window with a kind of hard plastic flattened bubble. It's obviously a manufactured item, and not something they just threw together themselves. In fact, I think it had advertising on it. Anyway, I would love to know where to buy one of these. So does anybody know where I can get one? You have any other cheap suggestions for the hopelessly unskilled?

  1. Go to a junkyard. They may even pull one out for you. Then find a more mechanically inclined friend or relative to help you replace it. I bet your dad could do it.

  2. Those bubble type windows are usually manufactured

by one of the aftermarket companies that customize

vehicles. Don't expect that those things are less to

get than a regular window at a junk yard. You can

probably get one at a junk yard for about $50, and

it can cost you another $50 for a company to install.

It is no more expensive to have some of the mobile

window glass companies come to you to install the

window, so that is another thing you can consider.

Either way, pay to have it done. If they break it, they

    have to replace it.
