My other computer started Blue Screening quite often a while back, and I wrote it off as a minor inconvenience. It then got more frequent, eventually getting to the point where my computer can no longer boot. It starts loading up Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, and Blue Screens; every time. I believe it to be a hardware failure, but I'm willing to explore the chance that it's a software failure. Basically, I wanted to pop in the boot disks for WinXPMC'05, 'cept I don't quite know where they... are. What's even worse is that the Serial Number/Product Key is written on a sticker that came attached to the computer, just mocking me. So, basically, I need to find replacement boot disks; how do I go about that? I mean, I tried to torrent some, but they all were listed as coming with cracks and hacks and a whole bunch of other illegal things that I don't want or need. Also, once I've replaced my boot disks, how do I go about actually... y'know, actually putting them to use? I've never completely reformatted a computer, and don't quite know how. When I put the disks in, does it just automatically know before it tries to boot the 'ol OS, or is there something you have to press to make it look at the CD you've got in the drive? I had 1GB of RAM, and believe that I have never exceeded the limitations of my computer.
