  1. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and talk to one of the employees there.

  2. You can't go wrong with Home Depot or Lowes

  3. where are you located? do a google search to find the companies or yell.com then type the compant name that sounds good into google and see what comes up usely theres a fourum for the company or review page for them have a look

  4. Any reputable double glazng company will be only too eager to send one of their salesmen round. Look in Yellow Pages and take you pick, or ask friends who they have used.

  5. IF you are going to have the work done by others, I highly suggest that you do NOT go to Home Depot or Lowes...their reputation is horrible for installation! Call window/door companies that specialize in vinyl replacement windows, get at least 3 estimates. Make sure you are comparing quality for quality. You do not need the best brand, best quality window ever made, but you need windows that will last as long as you own the home and sell it. Make sure the installer is licensed/bonded. Most windows are custom made...chose a pane that you are satisfied with (r value)...I do not advise aluminum windows because of heat transference in frame. The lousiest insulation you will have in your house will be your windows, no matter what you do. I hope this helps

  6. Yeah, don't go to home depot or lowes. They only have certain sizes in stock and they will club you over the head to order the ones you need.Call a local contractor or window and door specialist.

  7. I strongly warn against going with Home Depot or Lowes for replacement windows. Regardless of what brands they carry, the installation just won’t be up to snuff. This isn’t a DIY job unless you’re in construction. The big stores subcontract everything, so it’s hard to trust their installation.

You’re best bet is to find a reputable replacement window company in your area. I suggest Renewal by Andersen. These windows are made by Andersen, which has been around for over a century. Renewal windows are 100% resistant to rot, mold, and termites. You get the option for different interior and exterior colors, plus wood veneers on the inside. The glass is all double-pane, Low-E, and argon fill. Highly energy efficient. Plus the glass blocks out the majority of UV rays that can fade fabrics and furniture.
