Where can I get a replacement window part?

My apartment has those windows where the bottom is removable so you can clean both sides and one night during a storm it fell inward and cracked! I'm guessing the last person to use it didn't put it in right. It happened the first week after I moved in and after I had turned in my list of things to be fixed. Where can I get just a bottom for my window so I'm not stuck paying a huge fine when I move out?

1. Find out what make the window is and then try loews or home depot they sell replacement windows.


2. Go to your building manager and tell him/her just what happened. Explain that the problem came with the apartment and you did nothing to cause it. This is not your problem, it is theirs. I doubt you will find the part you need. I would put the story in writing and give management a copy and keep a copy for when you vacate the property later.
