Where can I get a replacement window part? My apartment has those windows where the bottom is removable so you can clean both sides and one night during a storm it fell inward and cracked! I'm guessing the last person to use it didn't put it in right. It happened the first week after I moved in and after I had turned in my list of things to be fixed. Where can I get just a bottom for my window so I'm not stuck paying a huge fine when I move out?

Chevrolet Cavalier RS 1994 automatic window parts? Looking for a replacement part for the automatic window of a 1994 Chevy Cavalier RS. It's a round piece of plastic about an inch wide and a half inch thick that pops on to the mechanical arm of the window and slides into the groove. It rolls back and forth in the groove, raising the window up and down. I can't find it on any of the sights I've googled, and there aren't any junkyards in town. Looking to order online, once I figure out what it's called.

I need your advise-Window and Central A/C replacement in 2007.? In Year 2007, I spent $3,000 to replace the windows and $3,500 to replace the central A/C. They had been replaced in order to improve the energy efficiency. And, now I have a few following questions about how to claim these expenditures on my tax return form (5695). (1) $3,000 includes the labor and window parts together. I have the invoice, but it doesn’t differentiate between the labor cost and parts. Do I have to differentiate between these two? My understanding is that only the window part is qualified for this credit while labor cost is not. (2) What is the maximum credit will I get? Am I going to get a credit of $200 for the window replacement and $300 for the central A/C replacement? In total, will I be able to get $500? Can I carry forward any unused amount into future years? Or, is this credit available only for the years 2006 and 2007? Your generous input is greatly appreciated.

Question about replacement plastic window for Suzuki Grand Vitara convertible? I bought the car about 5 days ago and the plastic on the back window is a bit scratched up so I'm looking to replace it. I do not need to replace the whole of the convertible part just the back window which can be zipped off. I had been searching online for this replacement part with no joy. How do i remove glass from window for replacement? I have what I think is aluminum windows. looking at the window it has 2 sections, the top half and bottom half, bottom half being the part you slide to open. each half has six sections, pieces of glass divided by strips. I need to replace one piece and cannot figure how to remove the damaged one. I have gone over all the edges with a "blade" to remove any seal but it still doesn't budge. There are pieces on the exterior side that appear to "frame" the glass and possibly hold it in place, it doesn't look like any form of putty, it looks like plastic. I need to find out what that is and If i need to remove it and should i be able to reuse it.

Shoddy workmanship in window caulking - house not staying cool? There were replacement windows installed in the old portion of the house, and there is also new construction with the same problem. There are voids(1/8 inch plus) in the corners and some of the sides between the wall and the window inside of the house. The part where the wall does meet the window chips out easily, and the void looks pretty deep in there. Do I need to crack out whatever dried out stuff it is and recaulk? What is the likelyhood that they pulled the same stunt when they re-stuccoed the house on the outside? I'm willing to do all the work, what do I need to do to seal my house and make it cost-effective to heat and cool? Thanks!

99 montana.what is the cause of the drivers side window rocking and not seating properly in the up position?.? this window is slowing down half way up and does not seal properly when it is up.if you grab the window you can rock it.its not stiff like the passengers side window. could this be adjustable or would the regulator assembly need replcaing.im told this replacement is 1200.00 just for the parts.

damaged replacement parts used on car repair by body shop? I had our car repaired after an accident and the auto shop used a used tail gate which I was aware of but when I picked the car up I noticed several areas of chipped paint that had been repainted in our cars color and several long 1-2 inch cuts in the metal below the rear window that had also been covered in paint. I complained because the used tail gate they got obviously had chipping paint and for some reason scrape marks on it. I was told probably from them removing the window, and also the plastic decorative piece was all scratch up that surrounds the back plate. What can I do? Since it is damaged can I insist on a new one -they said they would sand and repaint but I am concerned about the long knife marks. will that sand out? Plus why in the hell didn't the do that in the first place I would think for 6500 dollars they could handle that.

If my laptop is being replaced as part of a warranty, can I require that the replacement have Windows XP? One of our company laptops has given up the ghost, so we sent it in for repair. We were called back today, being offered a replacement... but the only option for an OS is Windows Vista. Some of our business applications will not run in Vista, and I know there are still XP laptops on the market - do I have any legal way of demanding a replacement with Windows XP? cadillac window regulator replacement? I have a Cadillac DTS 2004 and my window regulator keeps going out. I have read were the window regulators for all 2000 to 2005 Cadillac have problems but all of them also said that after they replaced it that was it. But I myself have replaced two of my window twice already. I have even order my regulator part from GM and it still goes out. Stained glass window frame replacement? This is a pretty specific question but I am looking for a place in Oklahoma that might replace wooden framed windows that have stained glass. The tricky part is that the home is very old and the windows very large and strangely shaped so that it would definitely need to be a custom shape along with the meticulous effort of removing the stained glass out of the original windows. Where can I get a convertible top and passenger window for a 91 Chrysler Labaron two door? We bought a used car at a garage sale. Runs great but have had difficulty finding miscellanous parts because Chrysler stopped making replacement parts. We also need a main curcuit board for lighting, signals, etc. We have them direct wired with toggles switches. Where to find replacement glass for a truck cap/camper top? I have a Century truck cap that came off of a '94 Mazda B4000 pickup. We bought the pickup after it had been vandalized, and all the cap windows but the front were smashed. Century does not sell parts or anything directly to the public, they only go through their dealers; I called my local dealer and they basically hinted that it would cost a LOT to get the replacement glass for the 4 side windows and rear window, plus I'd have to drag the thing down there so they could look at it and get all the info, and pay them BEFORE I receive any parts, AND they might not even be able to get the glass for it because Century recently changed glass companies and the cap is not new. It sounds like a huge hassle to me, so I'd like to look for new glass elsewhere. Any suggestions on where I could find new glass for this? Would junkyard or pull-a-part be a good place to look, or would they be unlikely to have trucks with caps still on? It's not a Leer, why would I call them? Someone told me that glass companies can't cut curves in glass?? That seems ludicrous since most car windows are curved, but I dunno. All the glass is flat, would it be cheaper to go to a non-automotive glass company?

Can I replace only the moving part of a sash window? Would a joiner be able to make a direct replacement for the two sliding frames in my Sash window with a double glazed panel instead of the single glazing currently installed. How do I break a pool filter? My neighbor has this million year old pool filter that is so LOUD that I can hear it with all the windows closed, music on, etc... I have people that come over that complain about the filter. They keep it on all the time, even when it rains for days and they're using it. I need a way to break it! Would a bb gun work?
