can you buy replacement doors for a newer manufactured home from a regular building supply? my husband and I own a manufactured home we purchased in 2002...it has all the amenities of a regular home including insulation and tape and textured walls, but we keep hearing that when you own a mobile home you can't buy replacement doors or windows from anywhere other a mobile home parts dealer...door measurements are the same as those also sold at home depot so why can't we just buy it there and save money...mobile home parts dealer wants 400.00 for the same door we can buy at home depot for 150.00...

does anyone know if Lowes installs windows in mobile homes? My mobile home is a 1979 and the windows are really old. I want to have good replacement windows installed and dont know where to go. I live in the redlands,california area.

leaking skylight in recently purchased mobile home? before we bought this place 2months ago we had a home inspection done and were given the warranty for new windows and roof.the skylight in bathroom has just started leaking so we phoned the roofing company an were told the last owners were told of their faulty skylight an it needed to be replaced,well it never was and we were not told of this,,who is responsible for the cost of replacement,hope not us
